May I paint you?
Not just a recreation of your face
But a worship on your body
May I lay sweet strokes of pigment
From a brush made with my hands
investigating every inch
and fold
and bend of you
May I study your form
Your touch
Your sweat
Every bitter note upon my tongue
Is a spectrum of your skin's unique makeup
And with a salty finish
Leave me craving even more
Let me wet my fingertips with your saliva
And write your name across my belly
Once it disappears
Rewrite it with your lips
A work of art to me, you are
Cut from more than imperfect marble
A permanent exhibit in my heart.
